Some members of Royal Naval Electrical Branch Association had the honour to visit HMS Collingwood on the 26th March 2010 as a trip “Down memory lane”

During their special visit they witnessed trainee engineers undergoing practical training in the electronic workshops; received a demonstration on the Phalanx weapon system; were wowed with a brief on training methods being developed for the future and experienced the virtual reality bridge trainer.

However the piece de résistance came after lunch in the Wardroom, when the visitors were escorted to the establishment parade ground to watch training divisions, with Naval personnel in their best uniforms being inspected by their commanding officer, Commodore Steve Kirby, CBE ADC Royal Navy. On this special occasion the Royal Marines Band Collingwood were also in attendance adding to the pomp of the occasion
